MIAMI – A month of official spring practices for the FIU football team are set to conclude with the Spring Game presented by Baptist Health this Saturday, Apr. 5, at 3 p.m. from South Dade Kia Field at Pitbull Stadium.
The fan-friendly, fast-paced event is free for all to attend. Free tickets can be claimed in advance by visiting
FIUTickets.com; tickets can also be secured the day of the game by visiting Ticket Booth C next to Gate 7 on the North side of the stadium.
Fans are encouraged to wear navy or white in support of either Team Navy or Team White.
Below is a breakdown of what fans can expect as new head coach Willie Simmons puts his high-energy and up-tempo team on display for the first time inside Pitbull Stadium.
PARKING & ENTRANCE
- Parking on campus in Lots 3, 4, 7 and 10, and Parking Garages 1 and 2 is encouraged. Please follow all posted signage.
- Please note that Tamiami Park and Cuban Memorial Lot parking is not available due to the Miami-Dade County Fair.
- Fans can enter the stadium through Gate 8 or Gate 9. Those participating in FIU's Admitted Students Day are asked to use Gate 7.
- All seating is general admission and will be on the North side of the stadium.
- Clear bag policy will be in effect.
TIMING & STRUCTURE
- Gates open to the public at 2 p.m., and the game will begin promptly at 3 p.m.
- FIU football conducted a live draft on Wednesday night earlier this week to select players for Team Navy vs. Team White. Those rosters are available by clicking here.
- The first two quarters of the game will each be 10 minutes with normal clock stoppages; there will be no TV timeouts.
- The final two quarters will be 15 minutes each with a running clock, except for change of possession and the 2-minute timeout in the 4th quarter.
- Once the game ends – approximately around 4:30/4:45 p.m. – fans will have the opportunity to come on to the field for 20 minutes as part of an autograph signing.
VIP SIDELINE EXPERIENCE

- Taking place on the field and in a covered space along the North sideline, fans can enjoy complimentary food and drink while being close to the action.

PREGAME FESTIVITIES
- Inflatables and games will be available in front of Parkview Hall immediately adjacent to the stadium's North side.
- A vintage blue and gold car in front of the stadium will be available for photos.
- Numerous giveaways upon entry ranging from pom poms to temporary tattoos.
- Roary's Playground – inside the stadium, a devoted area featuring additional games targeted for children and a face painter.
- Photo Opportunities – another devoted area for fans to pose for photos with FIU-branded items, along with a caricature artist.
- Several other FIU Athletics partners will be activating and tabling throughout the North Concourse.
PROMOTIONS & ITEMS
- Available exclusively at the Spring Game is the opportunity for fans to purchase 2024 game-worn FIU VICE jerseys and receive a complimentary VICE bucket hat. Additional merchandise will also be available for purchase at the Barnes & Noble FIU Spirit stand.
- Music throughout the game and on-field interviews by DJ MDOT and Gametime with Nesh.
- Autographed footballs will be given away during the game.
- Team awards for spring performance announced at halftime.
- Halftime Spirit Team performance.
- Concession stands will be open on the North Concourse.
- The game will not be broadcast.
