HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — FIU's men's basketball program is set for the quarterfinals of the Conference USA (CUSA) Championships on Wednesday night, taking on second-seeded Jacksonville State.
The 10th-seeded Panthers continue their CUSA Championship run after downing WKU in the opening round on Tuesday evening, 64-61. FIU now faces off with second-seeded JSU at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Mar. 12 inside Propst Arena.

FIU fell both times to JSU this season in two tightly-contested matchups that were decided by five points or less. The Panthers lost 71-67 in Jacksonville, Ala. on Jan. 30 and fell most recently on Mar. 1 in double overtime at home, 84-79.
Vianney Salatchoum averaged 16.0 ppg in the two previous meetings with the Gamecocks, adding 7.5 rpg. Jonathan Aybar and Jayden Brewer also averaged double-figures in the two combined meetings, posting 14.5 ppg and 13.0 ppg, respectively.
