MIAMI — FIU track and field's Michaelle Valentin earned a selection as the 2025 Conference USA (CUSA) Outdoor Field Performer of the Meet, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Valentin secured two medals at the 2025 CUSA Outdoor Championships, winning gold in the hammer throw and taking silver in the discus. She has now collected a total of nine medals at CUSA Championship meets in her FIU tenure, five outdoor and four indoor. The Haitian-national record holder continues to add accolades to her decorated career at FIU. The three-time All-American will be competing this week at the 2025 NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Fla. and hopes to punch her ticket to a third-straight national meet. Valentin currently has the fourth-best mark nationally in the discus (62.17 meters) 14th-best mark (67.51 meters) nationally in the hammer throw.
