MIAMI – FIU Women's Basketball released their non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday afternoon, following the announcement of their Conference USA slate in July.
Season tickets for the 2025-26 FIU Women's Basketball Season are available for purchase here.
Head Coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley will lead the Panthers into her sixth season at the helm, returning the same coaching staff for the third consecutive year. The team will also welcome back standout guard Parris Atkins, a 2024–25 All-CUSA Second Team selection, and All-Freshman Team honoree Fantasia James.
The non-conference schedule includes 11 matchups, including one Power-4 opponent and the annual FIU Thanksgiving Tournament and FIU Christmas Classic. The Panthers will welcome seven teams to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center during the non-conference slate, while taking their talents on the road four times before the new year and CUSA-play begins.
The Panthers open up the 2025-26 season on the road at USF on November 3rd, the first time playing the Bulls since the 2017-18 season, and will be searching for their first win in the matchup since 1996. This will also be the first time the Panthers start their season on the road since the 2020-21 campaign when they began the season at North Florida.
FIU will welcome Bethune Cookman to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for the first home match of the season on November 15. From there, the Panthers will be on the road for two straight matches, first heading to Orlando on November 18 to take on Power-4 opponent UCF, then to Jacksonville for a matchup against the Dolphins on November 22.
FIU will kick off the holiday season when they welcome UMBC, Seattle and Presbyterian to Miami for the annual FIU Thanksgiving Tournament from November 28-30. Round one on November 28 will see the Panthers take on UMBC, with their second matchup to be decided based on the result of Seattle versus Presbyterian.
The Panthers will open up December with a matchup against Georgia State at home on December 5, before heading up to Boca Raton on December 15 for their first of two games this season against rival, Florida Atlantic.
FIU will see the Owls again at the annual FIU Christmas Classic, playing host to UMass, Youngstown State and Florida Atlantic. The Panthers will first play Youngstown State on December 19, before facing FAU the next day on December 20.
The Panthers' last game of the non-conference slate will come against their only non-D1 opponent of the season in Florida National on December 30, the third season in a row the Panthers will play against the Conquistadors.
Conference USA competition begins after the new year on January 4 when the Panthers welcome CUSA-newcomer Missouri State to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
