MIAMI – The FIU swimming and diving program is set to host its final home meet of the season Saturday, welcoming the FGCU Eagles for Senior Day.

Prior to the meet, FIU will honor seniors Lutnya Bogdanova, Oumy Diop, Var Erlingsdottir Eidesgaard, Nicole Frank, Ruska Lehtonen, Ana Luiza Daisson and Maria Goncalves for their contributions to the program.
The Panthers look to bounce back following a tri-meet loss to the Miami Hurricanes and Harvard Crimson on Jan. 10 at the Doral Aquatic Center.
Saturday's dual meet marks FIU's final home contest of the 2026 season. The Panthers will close out the regular season with a road dual at Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m., before competing in the First Chance Meet on Friday, Feb. 13 in Coral Gables, Fla., in preparation for the 2026 American Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships.
The meeting will be the 15th all-time dual meet between FIU and FGCU, and the second time the teams have faced each other this season after competing at the TYR Fall Classic earlier this year. The Panthers and Eagles meet in a dual format for the first time since 2024, after their scheduled 2025 matchup in Fort Myers, Fla., was canceled.
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Diana Santamaria led the Panthers with four top-three finishes, highlighted by a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (23.59) and a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (56.68). Santamaria was also part of the 200-yard medley relay team alongside Oumy Diop, Tawannah McLemore and Frida Stretre Løbersli, which placed second with a time of 1:43.82.
FIU's 400-yard medley relay team of Diop, Ana Luiza Daisson, Santamaria and Pauline Zeller finished with a time of 3:29.10. Individually, Zeller added a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (55.37), while sophomore Tawannah McLemore placed third in the 50-yard freestyle (23.85).
On the diving boards, Kristina Keenan led the Panthers with a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter event, scoring 271.50 to earn a zone qualifying cut. Ruska Lehtonen (256.75) and Sofia Torstensson (245.25) followed in eighth and ninth, respectively.
In the 3-meter competition, Lehtonen finished sixth with a score of 263.65, while freshman Adyson Downey placed eighth (260.85) and Keenan rounded out the field in ninth (237.95).
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
FGCU enters Saturday's meet for its third dual of the season after earning a win over Siena College on Jan. 10, totaling 249 points.
In their season-opening meet on Dec. 31, the Eagles fell to Delaware, 135–127.
