MIAMI– FIU men's basketball has announced the signing of Oklahoma transfer Andreas Holst, a 7'0 forward from Copenhagen, Denmark, who redshirted last season for the Sooners.

A three-star recruit as a freshman according to On3 and Rivals, Holst ranked 131st nationally in the 2025 class and was ranked the No. 33 power forward by On3, choosing the Sooners over offers from Illinois, Missouri, SMU, USC and Washington. He played for Denmark's Bakken Bears in the Basketligean, the highest league in the country, draining 38 three-pointers for Bakken.

Holst competed for Denmark in the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship, averaging 8.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over seven games. He averaged 9.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 23 games with Bears Academy (a Bakken Bears affiliate) and participated in the NBA Academy Games in the United States.

Holst, listed at 7'0, is the second Panther ever from Denmark (Kasper Christiansen, 2017-18) and the first seven-footer for FIU since 7'2 Seth Pinkney played for the team in 2023-24.
