MIAMI – The FIU women's tennis program earned 2026 ITA All-Academic Team honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced Monday afternoon. The award recognizes programs that achieve a team GPA of 3.20 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
In addition to the team honor,
Katerina Mandelikova,
Vittoria Baccino,
Jelena Vico,
Maria Lucia Araoz-Gosn and
Aleksandra Simeva were named ITA Scholar-Athletes after earning a GPA of at least 3.50 during the 2025-26 academic year.
The Panthers posted an impressive 3.71 team GPA, with Mandelikova, Baccino,
Viktorie Hazmukova, Vico, Araoz-Gosn and Simeva all contributing to the team's academic success. The All-Academic Team recognition comes after another strong year in the classroom.
Mandelikova, a double major in Business Analytics and International Business, recorded a 3.80 cumulative GPA.
Baccino, a Sport and Exercise Science major, posted a 3.87 cumulative GPA.
Vico, a Computer Engineering major, maintained a 3.92 cumulative GPA.
Araoz-Gosn, a Kinesiology major, recorded a 3.72 cumulative GPA.
Simeva, a Hospitality and Tourism Management major, posted a 3.83 cumulative GPA.
The ITA recognizes academic excellence through two annual honors: the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award, which recognizes individual achievement, and the ITA All-Academic Team Award, which honors programs for their collective success in the classroom.
