MIAMI— Conference USA (CUSA) released its 2026-27 men's basketball schedule on Thursday, featuring the conference schedule for FIU men's basketball. The Panthers will have nine home and nine road games, playing at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
FIU will begin its 18-game odyssey and first conference slate under new head coach Joey Cantens with its Western trip on the final day of 2026, playing New Mexico State on Dec. 31. The Panthers will then battle Sam Houston to ring in the new year on Jan. 2.
The longest conference homestand of the season will take place over the next three games, with the Panthers playing host to 2025-26 regular-season champion Liberty (Jan. 7), Delaware (Jan. 9) and Missouri State (Jan. 16). The Bears dispatched the Panthers in the opening round of the CUSA Tournament in 2025-26.
FIU hits the road over the next two games to battle longtime foes Middle Tennessee (Jan. 21) and Western Kentucky (Jan. 23). The Panthers took down the Blue Raiders in an overtime thriller in their last trip to Murfreesboro.
The Panthers then return to the OBCC for a pair of games to close out January, Jax State (Jan. 28) and CUSA Champion Kennesaw State (Jan. 30). The latter will be Panthers forward Ramone Seals' first matchup against his old squad.
FIU will take its first-ever trip to Delaware to begin February, battling the Fightin' Blue Hens in Newark on Feb. 4 followed by a return trip to Liberty (Feb. 6). The longest conference road trip of the season will conclude at Missouri State for a single game on Feb. 13.
Returning home, FIU takes on WKU again (Feb. 18) and MTSU (Feb. 20) before embarking to Alabama and Georgia for its final road trip of the season featuring Jax State (Feb. 25) and Kennesaw State (Feb. 27).
Finally, for the second consecutive year, the Panthers end the year at home against its Western foes, dueling Sam Houston (Mar. 4) and New Mexico State (Mar. 6) before heading to Huntsville for the conference tournament.
