MIAMI — FIU student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, posting a combined 3.49 grade-point average (GPA) across the department, as announced Friday afternoon
The Panthers capped the academic year by posting a 3.50 department-wide GPA during the 2026 spring semester.
Throughout the 2025-26 academic year, 14 programs posted GPAs of 3.0 or higher, while 10 programs recorded GPAs of 3.5 or better.
Beach volleyball led all FIU programs with a 3.76 GPA for the academic year. On the men's side, men's cross country and men's soccer tied for the highest program GPA at 3.52.
Beach volleyball also led all programs during the 2026 spring semester with a 3.80 GPA, while men's cross country posted the highest spring GPA among men's programs at 3.57.
As a department, FIU has now recorded 23 consecutive semesters with a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher.
