MIAMI — FIU's athletics department, in partnership with Sidearm Sports, officially unveiled its redesigned mobile app on Wednesday, packed with a fully-customizable experience for Panther Nation.
Redesigned to put the complete FIU Athletics experience directly in the hands of Panther fans, the FIUSports app serves as the digital home for FIU's 17 Division-I programs, providing fans with the latest schedules, rosters, results, news and multimedia content all in one place.
The app also offers a user-friendly experience, allowing Panther fans to select their favorite FIU teams and receive personalized push notifications with the latest news, updates and information from the sports they follow most closely.
Beyond news and information, the FIUSports app provides Panther Nation with opportunities to engage with FIU Athletics through two fan-focused programs: Panther Rewards and Roary's Rookies Kids Club.
Panther Rewards
Panther Rewards is FIU Athletics' fan engagement and rewards program, giving supporters the opportunity to earn points for attending FIU Athletics events and engaging with the Panthers through the FIUSports app.
Fans can earn points through game attendance, trivia, polls, reading articles, watching videos and daily app engagement. Points can then be redeemed for exclusive merchandise, sideline and in-game experiences and other prizes through the Panther Rewards prize store.
The program also features an overall leaderboard, offers, discounts, promotional codes and additional opportunities for fans to engage with FIU Athletics throughout the year.
Roary's Rookies
The FIUSports app is also home to Roary's Rookies, the official Kids Club of FIU Athletics for children ages 12 and under.
Membership provides young Panthers with a variety of exclusive benefits, including a welcome package, free general-admission seating to FIU regular-season home games, access to Roary's Playground at select games, invitations to special events and more.
Roary's Rookies is also integrated with Panther Rewards, allowing parents and guardians to earn points when attending FIU Athletics events with their children.
Fans can download the official FIUSports app for free by searching "FIU Athletics" in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once downloaded, users can create a free account, select their favorite teams and customize their notification preferences.
