Biography

Ashley Falk begins her first season as a student assistant coach after leaving as one of the best to ever play at FIU. She ranks third on the all-time FIU single-season home run list with 13.

Falk finished her career with 21 home runs and 85 RBIs while playing in 215 games for the Golden Panthers. She added 16 doubles and five triples while starting all 120 games for FIU her last two seasons including being named an All-Sun Belt Conference performer her senior season.

The Manitoba, Canada, native, is majoring in pre-physical therapy and plans to pursue a masters degree. She has one sister, Kayla, and one brother, Justin, who was selected 110th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2007 NHL Entry.

Prior to FIU, Falk played for the Winnipeg Lightning club softball team, winning Provincial Championships three-straight years from 2002-04, finishing runner-up at nationals in 2003 and earning the bronze medal in 2004. In 2003 she was named to the national all-star team and the Canadian Junior National Team while competing at the Junior World Championships. She received the 2003 Softball Manitoba Presidents’ Choice Award and was a three sport student-athlete (volleyball, basketball and hockey) for Pilot Mound Collegiate, earning team MVP honors for volleyball in 2004.
