Prior to FIU: A three-time all-conference and all-district selection at Mountain Grove High School in Missouri … Tabbed conference player of the year in 2009 … Earned Honorable Mention all-state honors in 2009 … Also competed in track, earning second team all-conference and all-district honorable mention recognition … Spent two seasons at Drury University and is coming off a campaign in which she led the Panthers with 51 block assists and was second on the team in total blocks (56) … Has led her club teams to many tournament titles, placing several years at Junior Nationals … Competed with USA Volleyball High Performance from 2006-09 … An Academic All-State selection in high school … A member of National Honor Society … Served as club coach for Midwest Xplosion Volleyball Club … Also involved with FCA and Joplin Tornado Relief.

Personal: Born July 30, 1992 … Daughter of John and Liz Citron … Has one sibling, Riley, who played volleyball at Drury University … Her father, John, ran track at Florida State while her uncle, Barry Ward, played football for the Seminoles … Her aunt, Jan Ward, was  a member of the volleyball team at Mississippi State … Her grandfather, the late Jay Ward, was a professional baseball player … Enjoys horseback riding, wakeboarding and staying busy outdoors … Plans to major in physical education/sport management with aspirations to coach collegiate volleyball after graduation.
