2016-17(Junior): Appeared in 13 meets for the Panthers … Won Gold as a leg in the 800 Freestyle Relay team (Carey, Bowen, Triola, Pereira) at the C-USA Championship (2/22-25) while also setting a school record in the event … Carey earned an individual second-place finish in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1.46.71 (NCAA B-standard) and an individual third-place finish in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1.58.46. (NCAA B-standard) … She set personal times at the Mid-Season Louisville Invite (11/19-20) in the 100 and 200 Backstroke with a 55.34 (eighth-place) and 1.57.84 (third-place) finish, respectively … Carey, an important figure during FIU dual meets, gaining 13 first-places, 8 second-places and 7 third-places finishes ... Named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week (10/25) … Carey graduated with her bachelors in Physical Education and plans to pursue her masters in Exercise Science.

2015-16 (Sophomore): Appeared in 12 meets for the Panthers…Claimed the gold as part of the 800 Free Relay team (Piper, Wilde, Pereira) that finished first with a time of 7:12.92 at the Conference USA Championships…Was named C-USA Swimmer of the Week (1/5)…Recorded two NCAA B qualifying times (200 Free – 1:47.83 and 200 Back – 1:58.95)…Registered 20 top three finishes…Set a personal best in the 100 Free with a time of 51.03 at Purdue (11/22)…Finished second in the 200 Free at the C-USA Championships with a career-best time of 1:47.83 (2/26)…Also notched a career-best in the 500 Free in Atlanta (4:53.88 – 2/25)…Finished fifth in the 200 Back at the C-USA Championships, notching a personal best (1:58.95).
 
2014-15 (Freshman): Swam in seven total individual events on the season…Earned 13 top-three finishes, including two first-place finishes…Earned her first career first-place finish against Indian River State College (11/1), swimming the 200 freestyle in 1:54.95…Also placed first against TCU and CCSU (1/8) in the 500 freestyle, earning a mark of 5:06.59...Represented FIU in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle at the C-USA Championships…Earned a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle at the Championships (2/21).

Prior to FIU: Attends FIU with top times of 51.36 in the 100 freestyle, 57.33 in the 100 backstroke and 2:11.48 in the 200 IM…Is a six-year high school varsity letter winner… 2010 and 2013 District Champion in the 100 backstroke…2012 and 2013 District and Regional Champion in the 100 freestyle… MVP four years in a row in high school...All-Space Coast Girls Swimming A Team Swimmer of The Year …Championships Cape Coast Conference Champion in 200 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 backstroke, and 50 freestyle…Bright House Network Breakfast of Champions Award Winner…Was also recruited by FGCU and Indian River.
