2016 – BEACH (SOPHOMORE)
Went 13-9 overall…partnered with Tina Toghiyani (8-5), Martyna Gluchowicz (3-2), Anabela Sataric (0-1), Anne Marie Taylor (1-1), Kari Peterson (0-1)…competed at No. 3 position (5-3), No. 4 position (7-5) and No. 5 position (1-1)…defeated teams from Jacksonville, UNO, LSU, ULM, Stetson, Hawaii, Tulane, Florida Atlantic, TCU, Grand Canyon and Georgia State.
2015 (FRESHMAN)
Went 1-2, all in exhibition play … partnered with Natalia Giron (0-2) and Alexandra Lilliquist (1-0) … def. Lowe/Patton of Carson-Newman (21-17, 21-11) for her first collegiate victory … traveled to AVCA National Championships as an alternative player.
PRIOR TO FIU
Attended Colegio Interamericano in Guatemala City, Guatemala … lettered in volleyball for three years (2012-14) for the Grizzlies … named team MVP in 2013 … played an integral part of her team’s first place win at the AASCA (Association of American Schools of Central America) Tournament … garnered Honor Roll in 2012 … additional amateur experience included playing for Lilegua in 2013.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Nery Bethancourt and Margoth Guerra … mother, Margoth Guerra, played volleyball at USF … has one older brother, Oscar Bethancourt (20) … enjoys reading and going to movies … plans to play professional beach volleyball after graduation.
