2018: Appeared in 13 games at cornerback, making 11-straight starts to end the season… After making the switch from wide receiver, Thomas-Oliver, III emerged as one of the best players in the secondary during the 2018 season... Thomas-Oliver, III logged one interception and a team-high 10 pass breakups… His contributions in the secondary helped FIU rank fourth overall in Conference USA for passing defense and sixth in the league for pass defense efficiency… He was an important component on an FIU defense that recorded 17 total interceptions, which ranked second in Conference USA and 11th overall in the nation… Thomas-Oliver, III also recorded a total of 40 total tackles, including 28 unassisted, 12 assisted, and 3 tackles-for-loss… He tied for the fifth-most unassisted tackles, seventh-most total tackles, and seventh-most tackles-for-loss on the team… He had a career-best game against WKU (10/27), earning single-game career highs in tackles (7), tackles for loss (1.0), pass break ups (4) and interceptions (1)… Thomas-Oliver, III was named to the C-USA Honorable Mention Team following the season.
