2019-2020 (Redshirt Junior): Was named C-USA Newcomer of the year...Picked up a gold medal in the 200 Backstroke at the C-USA Championships with her time of 1:58.47...Took silver in the 100 Backstroke, posted a time of 54.02 which marks as the fourth-fastest time in program history and a new personal-best time...Earned silver in the 100 Butterfly notching a time of 53.87 for the fifth-fastest time in school history...Was part of three gold medaling relays at the C-USA Championships: 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay...Was recognized with First Team All-Conference honors for her performance in the 200 Backstroke, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Rely and 400 Free Relay...Earned Second Team All-Conference honors for her achievements in the 100 Backstroke and 100 Butterfly...Was named C-USA Swimmer of the Week twice this season.
2018-19 (Junior): Transfer from WVU...Did not see action during the 2019 spring season with the Panthers
Prior to FIU:Â Julia Miranda comes to FIU by way of West Virginia University...Spent her Freshman, Sophomore and the Fall semester of her Junior year with the Mountaineers where she was a member of the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team... At the Big-12 Championship in 2017 Miranda placed eighth in the 100 fly (55.16) and was part of winning 200 medley relay team at Big 12 vs. Big East Weekend, helping the group post a time of (1:46.85)...Prior to WVU she Swam at Colegio Teresiano for coach Fernando Pereira where she was a three-time national champion in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and the 200 individual medley at the Brazilian National Championships...Miranda Placed sixth at the Brazilian Olympic Trials in the 200-meter backstroke.
