As a Freshman (2005-06): Ended the year ranked third on the team averaging 9.1 points per game and his 236 points scored rated ninth best all-time among FIU freshmen...scored his career high of 19 points against Sun Belt Conference foe North Texas and averaged 8.5 points per game versus league foes...instrumental in FIU’s home-opening victory over Central Connecticut State with a team-high 18 points, which included 10 free throws...scored 17 points?all coming in the second half?on the road at DePaul...put up 17 points, with the help of five 3-pointers, in the overtime game at La Salle (12/20)...ranked third on the team with 12 double-digit scoring games...led the Golden Panthers with a 78.2-percent (43 of 55) FT%...converted 6-of-6 free-throw attempts at No. 12 Michigan State (12/18) and hit 12-straight free throws from 12/18 through 12/31...dished out as many as three assists, three times, and had three games with a team-high three steals...credited with one blocked shot coming against No. 19 George Washington (12/8)...ranked 12^th in the Sun Belt with a .409 (26 of 47) 3-point field goal percentage and 13^th with an average of 1.81 treys per game.

Prep and Personal Data: As a senior in 2004, led Columbus deep into the New York City playoffs, winning the Bronx Borough Championship before falling in the quarterfinals of the PSAL City Championships...ended the year averaging 24 points and nine assists per game...considered one of the top-10 players in New York City by NYC & NJ High Hoops...spent the summer of 2004 playing for the New York Ravens...participated in the prestigious Reebok ABCD Camp where he averaged 10.5 points while shooting 81.3-percent from the foul line, good for fifth best in the camp of 215 participants...selected FIU over interest showed by UTEP, St. John’s and Drexel...born September 21, 1985, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic...son of Amalia Lora and Jesus Hernandez...undecided major and FIU Honor Roll student for the fall and spring, 2005-06.
