Biography

2017-18 (Junior Year): Had the best season of his collegiate career during the 2017-18 season … Averaged 14.3 points-per-game, which was third on the team and 18th in Conference USA, and 6.5 rebounds-per-outing, tops on the team and 13th in C-USA … Also, averaged 1.2 steals-per-contest, good enough for second on the team, and was second on the team in total steals (39) … Led the team in field goal shooting, hitting 46.6 percent (181-for-388) of his shots from the floor, and was second in free-throw shooting, connecting on 71.7 percent (81-for-113) of his shots from the charity stripe … Scored in double figures in 25 games, including 20-plus points in seven outings … Recorded five double-doubles during the season … Started the season strong with four 20-point games in the first seven contests of the season, including, a then, career-high 21 points – to go along with his career-best 13 rebounds (his first career double-double) – against Elon (11/17), and then a career-high 23 points at Milwaukee (11/17) … Surpassed that mark with a 30-point effort against Charlotte (1/20) on 58.3 percent (7-for-12) shooting from the field, 1-for-2 from behind the arc, and 83.3 percent (15-for-18) from the free-throw line … Two games after the game with the 49ers, Lockett poured in 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds at North Texas (1/27) … Also logged 24 points at Charlotte (3/1) on 10-for-15 (66.7 percent) shooting from the field, and 4-for-6 (66.7 percent) from the free-throw line … Dished out a career-high 10 assists at WKU (2/10), and had three blocked shots, twice, against South Carolina (11/27) and at USF (12/11) … Was one of only seven players in C-USA to record six or more steals in a game … Set the conference bar with six steals in the season-opener against Florida Memorial (11/10), a mark that wasn’t surpassed until Jan. 20, when Old Dominion’s Ahmad Caver recorded seven takeaways at Florida Atlantic.     

2016-17 (Sophomore Year): Played in all 31 games for the Panthers, starting in 13 … Averaged 5.1 points-per-game on the year, which was good enough for sixth on the team, and 3.0 rebounds-per-outing … Was second on the team in total assists with 75 (2.4 apg) … Shot 44.9 percent (62-of-136) from the field on the year, however finished the season hitting 65.0 percent (13-of-20) from the floor in the last three games … Scored in double figures in four games, establishing a new career-high of 14 points against UTEP (2/25) on 5-of-8 (62.5 percent) shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 (75.0 percent) from behind the three-point arc, and 1-of-2 (50.0 percent) from the free-throw line … Two games later, in the season finale, Locket equaled his career-best with a 14-point effort at UAB by hitting 70.0 percent (7-of-10) of his shots from the field … Also had 12 points at South Alabama (11/18) and 12 points at UTEP (1/12) … Also had six rebounds and a career-high six assists against the Miners … Grabbed a career-best nine boards and tied his career-high of six assists at Southern Miss (2/16). 

2015-16 (Redshirt Freshman Year at Chipola): Averaged 7.3 points-, 5.1 rebounds- and 6.2 assists-per-game, and helped Chipola to a 17-13 record ... Shot 47.6 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from behind the three-point arc ... Scored in double figures in seven games for Chipola, including a career-high 14 points three times ... He also dished out double-digit assists three times, including 10 in his debut, and a career-best 14 ... Recorded two double-doubles during his one season at Chipola with an 11-point, 10-rebound outing against Cape Fear Community College (11/7) and a 10-point, 14-assist effort  at the State College of Florida (11/21)

2014-15 (Freshman Year at George Mason): Earned a medical redshirt ... Appeared in the first five games before being sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an injury … Saw 10 minutes of action against Princeton (11/16) … Scored five points versus West Virginia (11/20) in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Tournament, while pulling down two rebounds and recording one assist … Was 3-for-5 from the free throw line against the Mountaineers … Also saw action against New Mexico (11/21) and College of Charleston (11/23).

Prep Career: Four-year letterwinner at Whitefield Academy in Mableton, Georgia ... Competed in basketball all four years and varsity track for two years ... Two-time All-County, All-Region Player of the Year and All-State honoree ... Named All-Metro Atlanta Honorable Mention as a junior ... Tabbed All-Metro Atlanta Boys First Team as a senior ... Averaged 18 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a senior ... As a junior, averaged 21 points-, 10 rebounds-, 3.0 assists- and 2.0 steals-per-game while setting career-highs of 39 points and 18 rebounds against St. Francis in the Region Championship ... Also played football and ran track for the Wolfpack.
