As a Freshman (2006-07): Showed outstanding promise over his freshman season, appearing in 25 games with a pair of starts...averaged 5.3 points per game...finished fifth on the team averaging 17.8 minutes per games played...averaged 21.3 minutes and 6.3 points over 16 Sun Belt Conference games...hit on 5 of 6 field goals (.833) and all three 3-point attempts in 32 minutes against Florida Atlantic (2/28/07) in the opening round of the SBC Tournament...just missed a double-double in that game with nine rebounds...three double-digit scoring games with a career-best 17 points against FAU...also had 13 points at ULM (1/20/07) and 12 in the upset victory at Middle Tennessee (2/15/07)...career-highs of 10 rebounds and eight assists versus Denver (1/13/07)...dished out six assists against Western Kentucky (1/11)...picked up four steals in an upset victory over Arkansas State (1/27) that snapped the Jags season-best 13-game win streak.

            Prep and Personal: A hard-nosed prep player who lit it up from the outside but wasn’t afraid to drive the lane and produce...a tenacious defender...listed as one of the top-10 players in Florida by hoopsusa.com and the No. 16 player in the state by galaxyofstarsbasketball.com...2006 McDonald’s All-American nominee after averaging 16 points per game as a senior for head coach Steve Rodriguez...had an outstanding summer playing AAU ball with the Tallahassee Wildcats and was a member of the Cameroon Under-21 National Team...also played high school soccer and volleyball...possesses great speed and strength for his size...showed fine ability to run a team and has great court presence and vision...born on May 31, 1987, in Yaounde, Cameroon...son of Joseph Nsangou and Florence Mapem...selected FIU over interest by Appalachian State and Miami of Ohio...undecided major.
