2021-22: Started all 30 games played ... Averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds ... Shot 49.6 percent from the field ... Reached double-figure scoring in four games ... Hit a pair of threes in three games ... Tallied season-high of seven rebounds on four occasions ... Recorded season-highs of 16 points and seven rebounds against FGCU (12/1) ... Hit 7-of-9 shots and 2-of-3 from 3-point range ... Added 12 points and five rebounds versus Louisiana Tech (2/5) ... Notched 11 points and season-best three steals against Middle Tennessee (2/17) ... Played in 29 games, making 23 starts… Shot 50% from the field and 29.9% from beyond the arc… Averaged 3.0 rebounds per game and 1.0 assist and 1.0 steals per outing… Posted 6.3 points per contest… Recorded a season-best 17 points against Keiser (11/26) and WKU (3/7)… Tallied a career-high three blocks at Rice (1/11)… Pulled down six rebounds against Eastern Kentucky (11/22), Marshall (1/30) and Florida Atlantic (2/5)… Tallied three steals against Keiser (11/26) and North Texas (1/9).

2018-19: Played in 33 games for the Panthers, getting the starting nod nine times with all nine coming in the final 10 games of the season … Averaged 6.0 points and 1.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 assists-per-game for FIU … Finished the year fourth on the team in total steals with 38, and fourth in total assists with 35 … Shot 48.8 percent (79-for-162) from the field … Scored double figures in eight games for the Panthers, including a season-high 14 points in the season-opener against Webber International (11/7), and followed that up with 12 points against Johnson & Wales (11/9) two nights later … Also poured in 13 points vs. Columbia (11/17) in the Johnny Bach Classic at Fordham University … Tied his career-high with five rebounds in the opener against Webber and surpassed it on Dec. 13, with six, against North Florida (12/1) … Also grabbed five boards in two other games; against Louisiana Tech (3/3), and in the season finale at Green Bay (3/26) in the second round of the Collegeinsider.com Tournament … Tied his career-high of three steals against Johnson and Wales, and eventually surpassed it with four steals at UTEP (2/9).

2017-18: Was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll, recognizing student-athletes with a 3.0 grade point average or better … Saw action in 21 games for FIU coming off the bench … Averaged 2.4 points-per-game and 1.2 rebounds-per-outing … Finished the season tied for fifth on the team in total steals, with nine … Shot 46.3 percent (19-for-41) from the field … Scored double figures in two games, both coming in the first seven outings, including a career-high 17 points in the third game of the season against Elon (11/17) … Was 6-for-10 (60.0 percent) from the floor, including 4-for-6 (66.7 percent), and 1-for-2 from the free-throw line against the Phoenix, while also grabbing a career-best five rebounds … Also had 10 points on 5-for-7 (71.4 percent) shooting against Florida National (11/29) … Recorded a career-best three assists against Rice (2/24).  

Prep Career: Averaged 17.1 points-per-game and hauled down 5.2 rebounds-per-outing, while also logging 2.1 assists- and 2.0 steals-per-contest as a senior at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia … Finished his scholastic career with 1,318 career points ... As impressive as his senior statistics were, Banks, an athletic backcourt player, may be best known for his backboard-shattering dunk that made him an Internet sensation in January 2017 ... The play was ESPN Sportscenter’s No. 1 Play of the Day on January 11, in addition to the No. 2 Dunk of the Year – second only to then Spartanburg (S.C.) Day School, and Duke sensation, Zion Williamson, the eventual No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft – and the No. 9 Play of the Year by MaxPreps ... Following his senior campaign, Banks was named Heritage’s Most Valuable Player and was a first team all-state selection by the Georgia Coaches Association ... He was also named the Georgia-Alabama All-Star Game Slam Dunk Champion … Played his high school basketball for Ralph Vernon-Denmark.
 
Personal: Born in Atlanta, Georgia … Is the son of Terry Banks … Has one sibling, Jada Banks … Goes by the nickname Zeek … Enjoys cooking and listening to music in his spare time … Was also recruited by UNC Greensboro, UTEP and North Carolina A&T among others … Also excelled off the court being honored as a scholar student-athlete and a member of the A/B Honor Roll at Heritage High School … Plans on majoring in sports medicine at FIU with aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer.
