Biography

As a Junior (2004-05): Emerged as starting point guard for the Golden Panthers...one of only three players to have seen action in all 30 games of the year with 27 starts...finished the year third on the team with 68 assists and tied for third with 28 steals...scored career-high 13 points in the Sun Belt Conference contest at Arkansas State (1/8) on 5-of-8 shooting from the field...hit two free throws with 3.1 seconds remaining in overtime that were the deciding points in a 74-73 win over Ohio University (12/28)...also scored 12 points in the preceding game against Colgate (12/27) in the opening tilt of the FIU Holiday Classic and afterwards, was selected to the all-tournament team...late 3-pointer helped FIU to a 65-60 upset victory over Florida State (12/12)...hit on 46.7-percent of his 3-point attempts (14 of 30) against conference opponents and scored on 9-of-16 treys (.563) over the last seven games of the season...played all 40 minutes of the 74-71 road victory over South Alabama (2/19)...six steals in the season opener against Florida Atlantic (11/19) was the team's season high...pulled down his season-high six rebounds at La Salle (1/11) and against league-foe Denver (1/15)...made six assists at Central Connecticut (11/28)...one of three players on the squad to convert better-than-75-percent of his free-throw attempts (19 of 25).

Blinn College (2002-04): Played two seasons for the Buccaneers of head coach Steve Spurlin...averaged six points and 5.6 assists as a sophomore, which ranked him fifth in the Texas Region XIV in that category, just ahead of FIU teammate Alan Guyton.

Prep and Personal Data: Attended prep school in Lawrenceville, N.J., where he competed for one year and was named to the Peddie Invitational all-tournament team...graduated high school from the Houston Awty International School where he was selected to the 2000-01 Tapps State Basketball all-tournament team...born February 8, 1983, in Houston, Texas...son of Ronald Lewis and Edith Dawson...Business major.
