Freshman Year (at South Plains) (2010-11):
- Spent one season with South Plains, averaging five points in 27 appearances.
Prep and Personal:
- Averaged 16 points, four assists, five rebounds and two steals at Notre Dame Prep.
- Coached by Ryan Hurd.
- Boasts a career-high 36 points in a game with the Crusaders.
- Before Notre Dame Prep, Smith attended Madison Park High School, leading the Cardinals to a 19-2 record, while leading the state in scoring with 26.6 points-per-game.
- Recruited by North Texas, Tulsa, Rhode Island, Utah State, Loyola and New Mexico State.

- Has two brothers, Damion and Eddie, and four sisters, Tamara, Wayniesha, Keisha and Charlene.
- Cousin, Will Blalock was drafted and played for the Detroit Pistons during the 2006-07 season.
