Bailey Edwards was named the Director of Men's Basketball Operations on Joey Cantens' staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. She comes to Miami by way of Providence, where she spent the last three seasons on the Friars' staff as an administrative assistant.
In her role, Edwards oversees the day-to-day operations of the program, including team travel, logistics, budgeting and administrative coordination.
Prior to joining FIU, Edwards served as administrative operations assistant for the men’s basketball program at Providence from 2023-26. During her time with the Friars, she managed the program’s budget, coordinated recruiting operations for official visits, assisted with team travel and practice logistics, and oversaw office operations.
She also played a key role in organizing team meals, coordinating the program’s annual Pro Day with all 32 NBA teams and managing staffing and operations for youth camps and summer programming.
Before arriving at Providence, Edwards worked as recruiting and operations assistant for the men’s basketball program at George Mason University from 2021-23. In that role, she helped coordinate team travel, recruiting visit logistics, financial reporting and camp operations, while assisting with the onboarding and supervision of team managers.
Edwards earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from George Mason University.\ She received her bachelor’s degree in health, fitness and recreation resources with a concentration in sport management in 2020, graduating magna cum laude, and completed her master’s degree in sport and recreation studies with a concentration in sport management in 2023.
