Biography

Junior – 2013: Appeared in 47 games, starting 44… Compiled a .238 batting average (29-for-122) with a home run and 19 RBI… Finished with highest batting average in conference play (.319)… Finished tied for second with eight doubles while adding 15 runs… Five hit-by-pitches were second-most among FIU hitters… Best offensive performance came on 3/17 against Middle Tennessee (3-for-3, two RBI, double, two runs)… Finished with second-most multi-RBI games amongst her teammates (five games with two RBI)… Put together a four-game hitting streak (3/16-3/23)… Had at least one RBI in six of seven games (3/16-3/29)… Best defensive effort occurred on 3/23, registering 10 putouts against South Alabama… Reached base in eight consecutive games (3/16-3/30)… In final Sun Belt Conference Tournament game against Troy, turned in a 2-for-4 day with a double and two runs… Earned Sun Belt Commissioner’s Award for maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA over the previous two semesters.

Sophomore – 2012: Started in 45 of 49 games… hit .235 (27-for-115) with a home run and 13 RBI… Recorded six doubles (tied for third on team), three triples (led team) and accounted for 19 runs… Tied for the team-lead in hit-by-pitch (5, Beth Peller)… Swiped 10 bases in 11 attempts… Turned in a .963 fielding percentage (eight errors in 217 chances)… Recorded 174 putouts and 35 assists… Against left-handers, hit .263 (5-for-19) and .229 (22-for-96) against right-handers… Hit .234 (15-for-64) with runners on base and .235 (12-for-51) with the bases empty… 10 hits in 22 at-bats (.455) when leading off an inning… Hit .270 (10-for-37) with runners in scoring position… Drove in three runs with a runner on third and less than two outs… Hit .222 (10-for-45) with eight RBI with two outs remaining in an inning… In 71 opportunities, advanced a runner 28 times (.394)... Freshman – 2011: Appeared in all 58 games for FIU, starting 54...Went 30-for-139 (.216), driving in 15 runs and scoring 11...Ripped six doubles and a homerun...Defensively at first base, committed just one error in 333 attempts (.997 fielding percentage)...Only FIU player to remain perfect on the base paths, swiping four bags in four attempts...Notched first career-hit and RBI against Memphis (2/12), singling in the game-tying run in an eventual FIU victory...Followed up with a two-run double the next game against DePaul (2/12), eventually coming around to score her first-career run...Tallied five multi-hit games...Strung together a five-game hitting streak from 4/17-4/30, going 7-for-14 (.500) in that span...First-career homer came in a victory over No. 19 Louisiana on the road, as FIU handed the Ragin' Cajuns their first home loss of the season.

Lakewood Ranch High School: Earned Class 4A Defensive Player of the Year recognition as well as first-team all-state honors as an infielder her senior year ... Served as team captain as a junior and garnered all-area shortstop recognition ... Named Team Defensive Player of Year as a sophomore ... Named MVP her junior and senior year ... Also played volleyball for two years and was a member of the Lakewood girls weightlifting team for two years ... A four-year scholar-athlete ... Plays for the Gold Coast Hurricanes, who finished as runners-up at ASA Gold Nationals in August 2010.
