FIU Athletics

As a junior (2014) – Went 3-for-4 in her debut with the Panthers against Maryland, driving in her first RBI off a single to left field… Began her career with FIU with a seven-game hitting streak…Led the team with four triples, with her first career three-bagger coming on Feb. 21 against North Florida… Had a career-high four hits (4-for-5) against Southern Miss… Four times she tallied multi-RBI games, plating a career-high three runs against Detroit Mercy in the Louisville Slugger Invitational, hosted by then-No. 3 Arizona State… In 80 chances in left field, she committed only two errors, while grabbing 73 putouts. 

Prior to FIU: Played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College and was an All-American scholar athlete recipient in 2008, 2009 and 2011… Tallied both Athlete of the Year and All-American honors in 2013… Her .505 batting average gave her athlete of the year recognition for 2013

Personal: Born March 2, 1993… Daughter of John and Michelle Sanchez… Has one younger sister, Olivia… Majoring in public administration… Enjoys reading and riding bikes
