Made 38 appearances and 31 starts... Led Conference USA with a 1.51 ERA, .151 opponent batting average, 3.49 hits allowed per game, four saves, and strikeouts per seven innings (8.1)... Tied for the league lead with the league pitcher of the year with eight shutouts and finished second with 240 total strikeouts... The only freshman in the country to pitch eight shutouts... Prep - FIU's second High School All-American (Stephanie Texeira) recruit, she was named Third-Team All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in July of 2016... Four-year softball and three-year volleyball standout for the Land O'Lakes Gators... Earned Sunshine Athletic Conference East Payer of the Year, Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) District Player of the Year, Herald-Tribune 6A First-Team All-State, TImes' All-Tampa Player of the Year and finalist for 6A FACA Player of the Year in 2016... Finished with 18 wins as a senior, with a 0.78 earned run average (ERA) and 269 strikeouts, as part of a 27-3-1 squad, finishing with a ranking of 28 of prep players by MaxPreps.., Also allowed only 41 hits for an 0.099 opponent batting average... Posted a 1.45 ERA with 15 wins and 141 strikeoutsT as a junior, earning Second-Team All-State and All-Conference honors... Her travel ball team earned Top 10 in the ASA Nationals
Personal - Daughter of Kathryn and Jeffrey Saile... Has two older brothers, Ryan and Leland... Brother Leland plays baseball at the Naval Academy... Major is education, with the goal of pursuing a master's degree in speech pathology to become a speech therapist.
