Biography
2016 – BEACH (JUNIOR)
Went 7-11 overall…partnered with Katie Friesen (0-1), Kari Peterson (2-1), Estefanie Bethancourt (0-1), Marina Boulanger (2-5) and Aren Cupp (2-4)…competed at No. 1 position (0-6), No. 2 position (5-3) and No. 3 position (2-2)…defeated teams from Jacksonville, UNO, South Carolina, Tulane, TCU and Grand Canyon.
2015 – (SOPHOMORE)
Finished her first season on the sand squad with a 1-1 record, all in pairs action with partner Natalia Giron … also competed in multiple exhibition matches … attended the AVCA National Championships as an alternative player.
2014 – INDOOR (SOPHOMORE)
Saw action in 22 matches, starting in 16 …. played in 68 sets as one of FIU’s three setters in 2014 … second on the team with 7.32 assists-per-set … dished out a career-high 62 assists at South Dakota State during the South Dakota State Challenge (9/12) … her 62 assists ranks ninth in the FIU record books in individual singe-match assists … posted double-digit assists figures in 16 matches and had two double-doubles in two matches … also tied her career-high 13 digs versus the Jackrabbits … was third on the squad with a .240 hitting clip (49K-14E/146 TA) … picked up a career-best five kills on three different occasions (last against Buffalo during the USF Tournament on 9/6) … stuffed a career-best four blocks against Iowa also in the South Dakota State Challenge (9/13) … had a career-best three aces at USF (9/5) during the USF Tournament … wrapped up her sophomore season with 49 kills (0.72 kps), 107 digs (1.57 dps), 24 blocks (0.35 bps) and eight service aces (0.12 sa/s).
2013 – INDOOR (FRESHMAN)
Led the Panthers in hitting percentage with a clip of .333 on the year, posting 16 kills against four errors in 36 total attempts … third on the squad in assists (230, 3.97 aps) … wrapped up her freshman year with 79 digs, eight blocks and eight service aces ... four of her eight aces came against Northern Kentucky in Purdue’s Active Ankle Challenge (9/20/13), which was a career-high … garnered a career-best 13 digs against Charlotte (9/27/13).
PRIOR TO FIU
Attended Kantonsschule Solothurn and hails from Biberist, Switzerland … was a member of the Swiss Junior Team … served as captain on the international junior tournament squad in Holland in the summer of 2011 … finished second at the U21 Swiss Championship with VBS Koniz in 2010 … led her U22 VBS Koniz squad to a third-place finish at the Swiss Championships in 2011.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Zvezdan and Svetlana Sataric … has three siblings: Darija, Rajan and Viktorija … her sister Darija was also a member of the FIU nationally ranked 2015 sand volleyball team … enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her brother’s ice hockey games … plans to major in economics or business … aspires to play professional volleyball after college.
