2016 – BEACH (SOPHOMORE)
Went 17-5 overall…partnered with Savannah Davis (17-5, 8-0 in CCSA)…competed at No. 4 position (2-1) and No. 5 (15-4)…defeated teams from UNO, LSU, Jacksonville, Georgia State, ULM, Florida State, Stetson, South Carolina, Tulane, Florida Atlantic, Grand Canyon and TCU…awarded CCSA Beach Pair of the Week (4/5/16) with partner Savannah Davis.
2015 (FRESHMAN)
Went 4-2 overall (0-1 dual/4-1 pairs) … competed with Giovanna Pasos (3-0), Anabela Sataric (1-1) and Marina Boulanger (0-1) … won against teams from LSU, South Carolina, and UNF … traveled to AVCA National Championships as an alternative player.
PRIOR TO FIU
Attended Colegio Interamericano in Guatemala City, Guatemala … lettered in indoor volleyball for three years (2011-14) and one year for beach volleyball (2014) for the Grizzlies … also lettered three years in basketball … garnered MVP honors for both basketball (2013-14) and indoor volleyball (2014) … was also named to the all-star team for indoor in 2012 and 2013 … competed with Litegua in 2013 … a National Guatemalan selection.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Julio Barillas and Aida Boesche … has two brothers, Jose and Julio … a sports and recreation management major … enjoys running, listening to music, baking, watching movies and shopping … aspires to train professionally at beach volleyball after college.
