Carla Jane joined the coaching staff as a graduate assistant in time for the 2017-18 campaign, working with her college coach, Joe Vogel. Jane was a four-year performer for FIU (2012-16) starting in 24 events for the Panthers. In 95 total rounds played in her career, she finished with an exact 77.0 stroke average.

As a senior, she earned Third-Team All-Conference USA and Women's Collegiate Golf All-American Scholar awards after posting a career-low 75.896 stroke average, landing in the top 10 at the Notre Dame Clover Cup. She finished five times in the top 25 that season, which included a tie for 19th at the Conference USA Championships, her best career finish at the event.

Since graduating from FIU in May, 2016 with two degrees (International Business and Finance), Jane returned to Chile to represent Chile in golf tournaments around South America. She also worked for the EM Academy as a financial supervisor for the prestigious South American golf academy when in Chile. When she returned to the U.S. in August to begin her coaching career and postgraduate studies, she was the No. 1 ranked golfer in Chile.

Prior to arriving at FIU as an undergraduate, Jane was the top player in the Golf Action Junior Women division. She represented Golf Action at the Optimist level in 2011, playing in events in Colombia and Argentina. She was classified to the Faldo Series Championship in 2012, finished second in the 2012 Chile Open and placed in the top three in nearly all summer 2012 tournaments in which she competed.

She is currently pursuing a Masters of International Business. Jane remains active in golf, and plans to play in the Sudamericano Copa Andes, the top South American Golf Tournament, a match-play format, in November, 2017.
