Remi Chancerel enters his first season with the Panthers as a Graduate Assistant tennis coach. Though the 2019-2020 season was cut short due to the COVID outbreak, Chancerel helped lead the Panthers to an 8-2 overall record, capping play with a five-match win streak. The Panthers reached a Top-50 ranking and went undefeated against conference opponents (3-0).
Prior to FIU, he was a member of Florida Atlantic University tennis team where he played in the number 1 and 2 spots during singles action and played in the number 1 spot in doubles competition. He spent his freshman year of college at Youngstown State University before transferring to FAU.
Chancerel spent one year coaching at the Smith Stearns Academy on the Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. A native of Dax, a small town in the Southwest of France he studied Business Administration and his hobbies include rugby and travel.
