Ayssa Roza was named Associate Director for the Student Athlete Academic Center in June of 2012. Roza works closely with the football student-athletes in order to achieve their academic goals as well as preparing them for life after college. She also assists in the daily operations of the SAAC and oversees the Academic Coordinators. Roza has had previous experience working with all FIU sports during her time working at the SAAC.
Originally from Hialeah, Florida, Roza received her bachelor of arts degree in Psychology and a master of science degree in Counseling from Florida International University. Prior to working at the SAAC, Roza served as the Team Lead for the College Prep Program for the Undergraduate Program on campus from 2009 - 2012 at FIU.
In her spare time, Roza enjoys going to sporting events and cheering on the Panthers. She has also been an active member of National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) since 2009.
