Jonathan is entering his second year as the primary contact of the nationally ranked men's soccer, 8x CUSA Champion swimming & diving, and baseball programs at FIU in 2024-2025.
In his first season as the men's soccer media contact in 2023, Mayer helped coordinate efforts that helped land Eduardo Mustre as the first team All-AAC, and United Soccer Coaches Region All-East Region team as the Panthers won ten games including a NCAA tournament victory over Mercer in the first round.
Mayer oversaw the promotional and branding efforts for the successful swimming & diving team in 2023-2024 as the Panthers won the 2024 AAC Championship and the Panthers were led by 2024 AAC Most Oustanding Swimmer of the Meet Chrisite Chue, alongside the 2024 AAC Coach of the Year Randy Horner and AAC Co-Diving Coach of the Year Josh Larcom.
Mayer is also a play-by-play broadcaster for FIU Athletics and occasionaly broadcasts games on ESPN+.
Currently, Mayer is a junior at Florida International University studying for his Bachelors in Communications with a concentration in Digital Broadcasting.Â
