MIAMI (April 23, 2015) – The FIU football program announced today the extension of its series with the Indiana Hoosiers with the addition of a pair of games in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
The Panthers and Hoosiers will play an additional home-and-home series, with FIU traveling to Bloomington, Ind., on Sept. 16, 2017. IU will visit Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium on Sept. 1, 2018. FIU and Indiana agreed to a home-and-home series last Spring with the Panthers heading to the Hoosier State on Sept. 12 this Fall. Indiana will make its first visit to FIU in 2016, facing the Panthers on Sept. 3.
"This is a great opportunity for our program to face a team from the Big Ten, which is one of the elite conferences in the nation," Head Coach
Ron Turner said. "Indiana has a tremendous history and tradition. It will be exciting to not only make the trip to Bloomington, but to host Indiana for a pair of games. This will be a great series for our team, as well as our fans."

The 2015 FIU football season will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 3, when the Panthers travel to Orlando, Fla., to take on the UCF Knights. FIU's home opener will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, as the Panthers host the N.C. Central Eagles.
FIU's 2015 schedule is highlighted with games against Boca Raton Bowl and 2014 C-USA champion Marshall, Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl champion Louisiana Tech, Popeyes Bahamas Bowl champion WKU, Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl participant UCF, and Gildan New Mexico Bowl participant UTEP. In addition, the Panthers will face Indiana, N.C. Central, UMass, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Florida Atlantic and Charlotte.
