MIAMI– FIU volleyball (9-6, 0-2 CUSA) returns to the friendly confines of the Ocean Bank Convocation Center to match up with Kennesaw State (6-8, 0-2). FIU has gone a perfect 3-0 in home games this season.

Opening Serve

FIU is back in Miami for a pair against Kennesaw State, who swept FIU last season in Georgia when the two teams met.

The Panthers lost both games to Missouri State in Springfield over the weekend despite having a great two games on the blocking side, recording 17 across the two matches. Ivona Lazovic enters Friday's match needing one assist to reach 1,000 in her career, recording 47 over the weekend against the Bears.

Matchup History
- FIU has met Kennesaw State four times in program history, and after taking the first meeting in 2024, the Owls have won three straight in the series.
- In 2025, Kennesaw State won both matches in Georgia, including a five-set thriller on Oct. 4 that featured 24 kills from former Panther Kira Givans.
- FIU's only win was in the first meeting, a four-set victory in Miami. Jillian Huckabey led the Panthers in that game with 19 kills.

Notable Storylines
- Friday is VICE Night for the Panthers, who will be giving away pink rally towels.
- Teodora Skocajic had a breakout weekend in the middle in Missouri, recording 10 blocks including a season-high seven in the first game. She also had a season-high 12 kills in the opener, controlling the middle in the loss.
- Lazovic is one assist away from 1,000 in her career, but has been surging from the service line, remaining 38th in the country and second in CUSA with 25 aces.
- Huckabey and Lana Sesar remain as steady as ever for the Panthers. Both recorded 25 kills in the two matches and Huckabey recorded back-to-back double-doubles. Sesar currently sits 94th in NCAA with 177 kills and fifth in CUSA.
- Chiara Fabbrini has emerged as a reliable offensive option for FIU. The graduate student is third on the team in kills and tied her season-best with 12 in the opener in Springfield.
- Marta Lazzarin had a standout defensive effort in the three-set loss on Saturday, recording 15 digs in the three frames.
- In NCAA rankings as a team, FIU is 17th in aces, 25th in assists, 28th in kills, 35th in aces per set and also top-100 in assists per set, kills per set and total attacks.
