GAINESVILLE - The No. 31 FIU women's tennis team (3-1) fell 4-0 to the eighth-ranked Florida Gators (4-0) in the second round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex on Sunday.

"Florida is a very good team and certainly proved it on the courts." Said head coach Melissa Applebaum. "It was a good test for us early on and as long as we start to peak when we're supposed to, we'll be right where we want to be."

The Golden Panthers will kick off a six-match road swing on Sunday, February 7 when they travel to Richmond, Va. to face the VCU Rams and Williamsburg, Va. to take on the William & Mary Tribe on Monday, February 8. First serves are set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
