Men's Soccer Falls to DePaul, 1-0

CHICAGO - After an exhausting double overtime victory against Illinois-Chicago two nights ago, the FIU (1-1) men's soccer team fell at the hands of the DePaul Blue Demons (1-1), 1-0, at Wish Field in Chicago, Ill.

After being out-shot 10-2 in the first half, the Panthers regrouped in the second half by firing seven shots to DePaul's two. FIU's efforts weren't enough as Alex Mangan's goal for the Blue Demons in the 26th minute proved to be all the scoring needed on the afternoon.

FIU goalkeeper Shane Lopez saved five shots (all in the first half) on the afternoon while Boston College transfer, Mario Uribe, led the squad for four shots on the afternoon.

The Panthers return to Miami for their home opener against the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday, September 10 at 7 p.m. at the FIU Soccer Stadium.
