Men's Soccer Falls 4-1 at Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 19, 2011) – The FIU men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision against the Tulsa Hurricane Wednesday evening at Hurricane Stadium in Tulsa, Okla. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 4-7-3, and 1-4-1 in Conference USA action while the Hurricane stand at 5-9-0 and 1-4-0 in C-USA play.

Tulsa jumped out to an early 3-0 advantage in the first half. The Panthers would get on the board in the 84th-minute of the match with an Andri Alexandersson goal inside the six. The goal was the freshman's first of his FIU career. Junior Sebastian Frings assisted on the score.

The Hurricane would quickly answer with their fourth goal of the match three minutes later to ultimately put the game out of reach for the Panthers.

FIU will return home to FIU Soccer Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 22 and welcome the South Carolina Gamecocks to town. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
