Box Score MIAMI (Oct. 27, 2012) – The FIU men's soccer team lost a close game, 2-1, against the Memphis Tigers on a golden goal with less than a minute left in their second overtime.
FIU's
Colby Burdette scored the Panthers lone goal of the afternoon. Burdette beat the Memphis goalkeeper to the lower left 90 for the first score of the game in the 55th minute.
Lyle Lindquist and
Daniel Gonzalez were both credited with the assists. The goal was Brudette's fifth of the season.
The Tigers Ben Ciosanski scored both of the goals for Memphis.
The Panthers (7-7-2, 0-6-1 C-USA) will travel to Boca Raton, Fla., on Oct. 30, to take on the FAU Owls. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. FIU will then close out the season on
Saturday, Nov. 3, against Tulsa on senior day.
