Former FIU All-American T.Y. Hilton will be returning to his alma mater this weekend, to serve as Honorary Captain for the Panthers' game against Louisiana Tech. Now a star wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts in his second season, Hilton returns to FIU during his team's bye week. The Colts are 5-2 in 2013 and are coming off a 39-33 victory over the previously-undefeated Denver Broncos. So far this season, Hilton is second on the team with his 27 receptions for 412 yards and two touchdowns. His 15.3 yards per catch are a team-high.

The Louisiana Tech game, presented by Regions Bank, is dubbed “Play Pink Night” to proudly bring necessary recognition to October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout the month, FIU Athletics will be using the #PinkPanthers hashtag in promoting fundraisers and raffles that will be taking place at home athletic contests.

Raffle tickets are on sale for $1 at all home athletic events in October, with proceeds benefiting the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Fans can enter to win a pink signed ball for men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball and for football, a pink FIU helmet.

At the Louisiana Tech game, raffle tickets will be on sale inside gate 6 at the Panther Points table. The pink helmet will be awarded at the East Carolina game next weekend.

In the UAB game, Jake Medlock (R-Jr., QB) threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns. He helped the Panthers erase a 21-7 deficit, tying the game, 24-24, with 2:41 remaining on a 13-yard touchdown pass to Lamarq Caldwell (So., RB).
