FIU Opens 2013 Football Schedule at Maryland

Miami, Fla. (FIUSports.com) – Under new Head Coach Ron Turner, the FIU football team travels to College Park, Md., to open its 2013 season at the University of Maryland on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.

Kickoff with the Terrapins is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. (EST) and the game will be broadcasted on FOX Sports Regional Networks, including FOX Sports Florida. The FIU Sports Radio Network will also have the live call of the game, heard anywhere around the world on FIUSports.com.

Tickets to the home-opener versus in-state rival UCF on Friday, Sept. 6 are available for purchase through one of several affordable season-ticket packages. Season tickets can be purchased or renewed online at FIUSports.com or by calling the FIU Athletics Ticket Office at (305) FIU-GAME.

FIU's 2013 six-game home schedule features non-conference foes UCF (Sept. 6) and Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 14) and C-USA opponents UAB (Oct. 12), Louisiana Tech (Oct. 26), East Carolina (Nov. 2) and Marshall (Nov. 23). The 2013 Homecoming game will be on Oct. 12 vs. the UAB Blazers.
