The Lions took the first point of the match, winning in doubles action. The duo of freshman
Tina Mohorcic and
Carlotta Orlando fell to Bianca Sanon and Kanika Vaidya, 8-2, and the tandem of freshmen
Nina Nagode and
Valentina Briceno dropped an 8-1 decision to Crystal Leung and Tina Jiang.
FIU would drop three-straight singles matches to suffer the team's second-straight loss, 4-0. Nagode fell to Jiang (6-2, 6-4), Mohorcic lost to Leung, 7-6 (2), 6-0, and Briceno suffered a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Ioana Alecsiu.
The Panthers will next host Nebraska on Tuesday, March 25, from the FIU Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m.
