FIU Women’s Tennis Hosts Liberty on Sunday

MIAMI (Jan. 23, 2015) – The FIU women's tennis team will kick off the 2015 spring season, hosting the Liberty Flames on Sunday, Jan. 25, at the FIU Tennis Courts. First serve is set for noon.
 
FIU is coming off a fall campaign where the team compiled a record of 55-28 (.663) in singles action and 20-14 (.588) in doubles play. Leading the way is freshman Nerma Caluk, who has registered a team-best singles record of 13-6 this fall. Three other Panthers have notched 10-or-more wins this fall - junior Kaitlin Brozovich (10-5), sophomore Nina Nagode (10-4) and junior Carlotta Orlando (11-6).
 
Sunday will mark the first-ever meeting between FIU and Liberty.
 
Admission to the match is free to the public.
