MIAMI (Oct. 1, 2015) - FIU continues its Conference USA run this weekend, traveling to both Rice (5-4-1, 1-1-0 C-USA) and North Texas (8-2-1, 0-0-1 C-USA). The Panthers will make the weekend swing in the Lone Star State beginning on Friday versus the Owls at 8 p.m. ET.

After nabbing two gritty wins last week, the Panthers jumped to 6-5, but more importantly, 2-0 in conference play.

Friday night marks the first of two on this road trip, traveling to Houston, Texas, to face the Owls. FIU is no strangers to Rice, winning both of its meetings with the Owls in each of the past two seasons.

Sunday afternoon brings the Panthers to Denton, Texas, facing one of the top teams in the conference. FIU holds a 3-13-2 record all-time against the Mean Green. The Panthers will be looking to snap a three-match losing streak to North Texas.

The Panthers come into this weekend's contests tied for first in C-USA. Rice is in eighth and North Texas is alone at 10
th.

FIU comes into this weekend's action having won two-straight and three of the team's last four games. The Panthers have scored 15 goals this season and are led by
Alyssa Robinson and
Madlen Weinhardt who have netted four goal each. Weinhardt leads FIU with 11 points (4g, 3a). Reigning C-USA Offensive Player of the Week Scarlett Montoya scored a pair of game-winning goals last week for the Panthers, while notching two assists. Montoya and Robinson are second on the team in points with eight each. Â
