@FIUMensSoccer Travel to Ft. Myers for a Cross-State Match-up Against FGCU

MIAMI (Oct. 19, 2015) – The FIU Men's Soccer team (8-4-0) heads to Ft. Myers this Tuesday for a non-conference match-up against the FGCU Eagles (5-2-3). First touch will be at 7 p.m.

Last time out: The Panthers upset the No. 9-ranked Old Dominion Monarchs with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory on Saturday evening. ODU scored the first goal of the game in the 59th minute with a backwards header. Senior Daniel Gonzalez scored the equalizer with perfect cross from junior Jamar Campion-Hinds to set the score 1-1. In the 82nd minute, junior Patrick Lopez shot the game-winner with a header and registered his first-career goal to close the game at 2-1.

Scouting FGCU: The Eagles shut out Lipscomb, 4-0, last Saturday night on their home turf. FGCU out-shot Lipscomb, 20-12, with eight on frame. FGCU currently holds a six-game win streak.
