MIAMI (October 20, 2015) – The FIU Volleyball team (11-8, 5-3 in C-USA) will host the Lady Techsters of Louisiana Tech Wednesday night on Lime Court at FIU Arena. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
Last time out: The Panthers fell to Southern Miss last Friday 3-2. The two teams were evenly matched. FIU ultimately came up short late in the match. The Panthers were led by sophomore
Jennifer Ene who posted 14 kills and a career-high nine blocks. Freshman
Dominique Dodd also set a career-high in assists with 19. Senior
Adriana McLamb led in digs with 23. FIU as a team posted 14 blocks on the night.
Scouting the Lady Techsters: LA Tech (7-14, 1-7 in C-USA) is coming off a two-loss weekend against conference opponents, North Texas and Southern Miss. Those losses mark LA Tech's thirteenth and fourteenth of the season and give the Lady Techsters nine losses in their last ten games.
The Panthers currently sit sixth in the C-USA standings, behind WKU, Southern Miss, FAU, North Texas, and UTSA. FIU is 4-0 at Lime Court at FIU Arena versus conference opponents this year. The Panthers look to continue the winning-streak and climb higher in conference standings on Wednesday night.
