Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium to be Official Home of Miami FC

Miami, FL – October 2015 – Miami FC is running full force to gear up for the NASL 2016 spring season. The soccer club will be calling Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium its official home.

As the team continues to announce major developments for their 2016 inaugural season, Miami FC leadership is extremely pleased to see the major pieces of this vision come together and give the city the soccer club it deserves. Miami FC, co-owned by Riccardo Silva, president and founder of one of the worldwide leader in distribution of sports media rights group MP & Silva, and soccer legend Paolo Maldini, former player for A.C. Milan and the Italy national team, is looking to connect with Miami's communities through the global language of soccer.

"This is Miami's team," said Silva. "By calling the FIU stadium home we are taking a step further to building a strong and passionate fan base in our city."

FIU President, Mark B Rosenberg, says the university is excited to provide a proper home for the soccer club and ring in the 2016 NASL spring season. Rosenberg welcomes all Miami FC fans to cheer the team on in their 20,000-seat stadium located at 11200 SW 8th Street.

"FIU is all about win-win partnerships," Rosenberg said. "We are thrilled to be working with Riccardo Silva and delighted that our students will be getting internships through this partnership."

With open tryouts being held at the end of November and the team's head coach Alessandro Nesta and technical director Mauro Pederzoli on the search for top talent, it's only a matter of time before the long awaited moment of Miami FC's grand debut on their home field.
