@FIUVolleyball Take on Charlotte This Friday

MIAMI (Oct. 8, 2015) – The FIU Volleyball team (10-7, 4-2 in C-USA) will host the Charlotte 49ers Friday evening, on Lime Court at FIU Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

Last time out: FIU fell to FGCU Tuesday evening, 3-1. The Panthers came out struggling offensively with a negative hitting percentage, and allowed the Eagles to take the first set, 25-23. FIU came back with a dominant lead in the second set, 25-11, to tie the game at 1-1. FIU lost their momentum in the third set (25-21) and the Eagles took the lead 2-1. The Panthers lost their offensive grip in the fourth set (25-22) to end the game 3-1.

Scouting the 49ers: Charlotte (5-10, 2-3 in C-USA) was defeated last Sunday by Rice (3-2) in a five-set match. Sunday's match marks the 49ers second-straight five-set loss.
