MIAMI (Oct. 8) – The FIU Men's Soccer team (7-3, 2-1 in C-USA) head to Birmingham, Ala., to face the UAB Blazers on Saturday evening. First touch will be at 7 p.m. at the West Campus Field.
Last time out: The Panthers ended their seven-game winning streak last Saturday after falling to the 49ers, 1-0. Charlotte scored the only goal of the match in the 26
th minute. FIU out-shot Charlotte 15-7, but failed to get on the scoreboard.
Scouting UAB: The UAB Blazers (3-7, 0-2 in C-USA) were defeated last Saturday by the Akron Zips in overtime, 2-1. Akron scored the first goal of the match in the 72
nd minute. The Blazers matched the Zips two minutes later to tie the game 1-1. In overtime, Akron scored again to take the game 2-1.
