MIAMI (Nov. 22, 2015) – The FIU women's basketball team (1-1) will host the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (2-2) on Monday, Nov. 23, from Lime Court at FIU Arena. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET.

The Panthers are looking to rebound from an 89-72 loss at UCF last Tuesday.
 
FIU is averaging 76.5 points-per-game on 42.9 percent shooting from the floor. Having made 17 treys in two games this season, the Panthers rank No. 40 in the nation in 3-point shots made-per-game and have converted 35.5 percent of their shots from beyond the arc. FIU has been solid from the charity stripe, making 80.0 percent of the team's shots from the free throw line (No. 22 in the nation).
 
The Panthers are led in scoring by junior Janka Hegedus, who is averaging 20.0 points-per-game. The Budapest, Hungary, product is shooting 50.0 percent (14-of-28) from the floor. Senior Taylor Shade is second on the team, averaging 14.5 points-per-game. Shade is coming off a season-high, 18-point performance versus the Knights and is shooting 52.9 percent (9-of-17) from the floor. Rounding out the top scorers is senior Destini Feagin, who comes into Monday's game averaging 11.5 points-per-contest. The native of Philadelphia, Pa., is tied for the team lead in 3-pointers made (7) with junior Tianah Alvarado. Alvarado has had the hot hand from downtown, shooting 71.4 percent from 3-point range (No. 6 in the nation).
 
Monday's game will mark the seventh meeting all-time between FIU and FGCU as the Panthers will be looking earn the team's first win over the Eagles (0-6 all-time).
