FIU (2-2) got on the scoreboard first in the first inning when freshman
Eddie Silva singled and
Edwin Rios followed with a two-run home run to center field. It was Rios's first home run of the season.
The Hatters (2-2) answered with a run in the first inning and two runs in the second inning before adding more crooked numbers in the third through the fifth innings. Stetson collected 19 hits in the game -- 12 of the hits were for extra bases.

Josh Anderson hit his second double of the season for the Panthers and
Zach Soria was 2-for-4.

Robby Kalaf suffered the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits, while striking out five in two innings of action.
FIU continues its five-game road trip Saturday with a doubleheader in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after the Panthers scheduled doubleheader Friday was postponed due to cold weather.
